Default Zinus Mattress

We bought one of these bad boys

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Q7EPV8O..._prd_ttl_sol_0

Last night was our first night on it. I was skeptical because of price but bought it anyway based on the amazing reviews. Cowboy let me tell ya....it is amazing. I slept like a boob drunk baby all night long. I didn't know how bad I was sleeping on the old one until I slept on the new one but man what a difference. I feel like I could climb Mt St Helens this morning or Mount St Helen this morning. YMMV but I can't recommend this mattress enough.

Ours gets delivered by Saturday. Fingers crossed this is a homerun as most of the reviews indicate.

Good to hear. We need a new mattress in the RV and the Zinus came highly recommended. Price certainly is right and it's convenient how it ships rolled up. Will make getting it into the coach easier.

Yes firm but not like a typical firm mattress. Give it the full 24 hours to expand before using it.

They are wonderfully firm and soft at the same time. Hard to describe. We bought a new Tempurpedic 12 years ago and at that time I thought it was the finest thing I'd ever sleep on. This one is as good if not slightly better.

Am I seeing the price correctly? Hard to believe you could get any mattress even remotely decent for what this is listed for. We are in need of a new mattress pretty bad, currently have a sleep number that doesn't hold air on one side. Me and my wife went shopping for one a few months back but couldn't agree on anything because she prefers firm and I like a softer mattress.......and everything we looked at was priced between $1,500 - $3000.

Yep, I just ordered one to help someone in need, 189.99 for a queen delivered, I got the same one the OP did. Will post review here once I receive one. Pretty amazing actually, my Beauty Rest Black was 3K, in less than a year it started collapsing, went through hell with the warranty on it but finally got it replaced after months of fighting, less than a year the replacement is also collapsing. Next time I will save 2800.00 bucks and get a Zinus.

I think mattresses are a rip off and the mark ups must be insane. Zinus is killing it!

Can you just throw it on top of your existing box spring?

I've got a 2 year old high dollar foam spring mattress that is collapsed. If I get two years out of it I'd be happy. Guess Ill order one.

Beauty Rest is horrible. We had two that took a dive within 24 months. I had had better luck with Sterns and Fosters. May get a couple Zinus for spare rooms.

I prefer latex over memory foam.

Don't overlook SleepEz mattresses when shopping, they are amazing and each side is custom tailored based on weight, height and if you prefer to sleep on your side or back. My mattress has 4 3" layers, 13" in total of natural latex, each layer with a specific firmness based on my and my wife's specs/sleep preferences. My wife's side of the mattress is different then my side, which sounds like the type of set up you're looking for. They provide a 20 yr warranty, 90 day no fuss return policy and you can exchange layers until you find the right fit. They are family owned and factory direct, customer service is fantastic. My back is no longer soar in the morning or during the day and it no longer requires adjusting, I wake up feeling refreshed.

Research on sleep like the dead forum., not all foam or latex mattress are created equal. Before going with SleepEz, I put an excruciating amount of time into researching mattresses of all types to include some of the less expensive foam mattresses.

Foam/latex mattresses can take some getting used to if coming from a traditional coil spring. I came from an expensive pillow top so I was use to plush, but it turns out while I thought it was comfortable, it was all in my head, that plushness did not do my body and favors. It took us a few weeks to adjust to sleeping on a latex mattress, a mattress that actually offered support in all of the right areas.
