Default Vacuum sealer

I'm looking to get a quality vacuum sealer. What are the better ones out there?

Vacmaster vp215.

Have one and it is great. Not crazy money ($700ish) but very capable and commercial quality.

Webrestaurant store is the online place that typically has the best prices.

As a side note, it is not something you pop on and off the counter when you need it. Quite heavy.

Yes, it is movable but not convenient to do so.

Weston Pro-2300

http://www.westonsupply.com/Weston-V...-p/65-0201.htm

https://www.amazon.com/Weston-Pro-23.../dp/B001GP81R2

I had several food savers over the years. They wear out eventually. The weston has been a beast.

Food Saver does have good customer service and you could probably buy 3 for what I paid for mine but I've never lost a seal on any food in the freezer. I vacuum EVERYTHING that goes into the freezer.

I like my Foodsaver. I don't vacuum enough to go for one of the super expensive vacuum packers.

I have a Kenmore that has worked for many years.
buy the food saver rolls on line for 1/2 what they get at stores

when some say they wear out, I have to wonder what happens.

The foam seals get old and contaminated or hard.
new seals usually fixes them

We also have a VacMaster VP 215 and love it. You can seal liquids like soup, water, broth, stews and it seals fish so well it is like fresh 6 months later. We put ours on a roller cart we got from costco.

X2 on everything he said...

I vacuum seal about 120 bags every 2 month and I really put the machine to work and always responds awesome... you can seal liquids on it and the quality is amazing...
If you plan to move it around... make sure to get a some kind of kart because the thing is really heavy

Vacmaster with busch oil pump is the real deal.

Minipack torre brand is faster and better.

I have commercial units (big ones) from each company.

Make sure it is an oil pump and change oil regularly.

After countless bags not holding their seal and overheating the food saver type. I was so fed up, I splurged on the vacmaster.

It's been amazing so far. You can't imagine the ease of use, especially if you have a nice place for it to sit. Mines on a stainless steel cart

Here you go...I bought 5 direct from china for a little less than this. Works perfectly and far batter than any foodsaver, far cheaper than VacMaster

Same for me you have got to seal a ton of stuff to pony up $700 to make it worth it my food saver has been fine, plus who wants that giant thing in their kitchen.

If this thread is any indication of anything, I would say THE VAST MAJORITY....LOL
If I counted right, out of 10 guys (I think) giving their opinion, 7 went with the vacmaster..
and I'm sure that most of them do not have it stationed on the kitchen.

I personally have it on a stainless steel kart with all the bags...

To each its own
