Default Frigidaire refrigerator nightmare, advise?

So where I start? We built a new home last year, moved in sept 2016. Our Frigidaire refrigerator hasn't made ice sense we moved in. We have had countless service calls, 8-10. Lost wages because of course the technicians can only come when we are working. They've replaced the ice maker 3 times. We are on the phone with them for an hour at a time at least once a week (very inconvenient). I am not sure where to go from hear? Clearly they can't fix it, the replacement (new refrigerator) review keeps getting denied and nobody can tell us why. We turned to social media to try and get this resolved and that didnt help. Should I see if paying a lawyer to contact them will work? Just wondering if anyone has had similar experience?

None of the three ice makers has made one drop of ice? Is the water hooked up? If it's not the maker, is the solenoid or the optical sensor.

In door model? I have fixed many ice makers.

The first one they replaced worked for maybe a week then nothing. The last two no ice at all. Yes in door model with ice maker in the fridge. I'm not going to troubleshoot it myself because I shouldn't have to with it under full warranty. I just want the company to make it right and nothing seems to give with them. By far the worst customer service I've ever dealt with.

Did the water line get kinked moving the fridge in and out? It's happened to mine before.

Haha nope, if the company won't replace it under warranty or give you some money for it I'd buy a new fridge. I'm not rich but I don't f around with lemon appliances. Service call after service call with no results is not a good omen.

The point is that it is a new fridge. It was several thousand dollars and it should work properly. Customers shouldn't shell thousands of dollars out for products that dont work properly.

Your issue may also be a freezer temp too high. If you have a thermometer. Stick it in there overnight. Alternatively, turn the fridge and the freezer control to max and watch it over a 24 hour period.

I hear ya, modern appliances suck. You should buy and old one off Craigslist in the meantime. Old Amana. It'd make a nice conversation piece and make ice. I told the wife when our fancy front loader washers with controls resembling a 747 starts to shit the bed I'm getting a 1986 maytag toploader.

Thanks and those things have actually been tried but I will call this guy and see where that gets me. I honestly just want it to work, nothing more or nothing less. But at this point I dont really want the refrigerator, I'd rather be refunded and move on.

Haha same thing here I have one in my garage. If my house fridge dies I'm moving it back into the house, bumper stickers and all.

I think the average $3500 refrigerator today is inferior to the basic fridge from 1988. Imo

I had in my rental a standing freezer from the 1960's that still worked when I got rid of it in 2010. Every 3-4 years it need defrosting but so what.

I hate Amana. Bought new appliances in 2001. Got to be on a first name basis with the repair man. Ice maker leaked on new kitchen floors, $1,500 to refinish them. Washer and dryer quit after warranty. Downdraft stove is barely working with the plastic touch panel worn through, 3 eyes, door latch that doesn't work. Dishwasher makes a terrible racket.

On top of that, Maytag then Whirlpool bought them out and just WIPED OUT the parts inventory. Talk about planned obsolescence. Stuck scrounging the internet to find parts that "match"

Did I mention I hate Amana? Biggest POS company that was ruined by vulture capitalism.

Do yourself a favor, IMHO don't ever by Amana.

Generally, appliances are made cheaper and cheaper, at least buy one you can get parts for.
