Default Stupids......Why are they allowed to breed

Wife is currently pregnant. Classified as high risk. Nothing major, but has to visit the high risk Dr. every so often for monitoring. Everything going great.

Shows up at an appointment this morning. She was the first there, shortly followed by two others. Both other individuals reeked of smoke, and one of alcohol.....at 9:30 AM. She was within earshot of the window. You guessed it.......both of them have Medicaid as their insurance coverage. So not only are they doing damage to their unborn baby, which will likely lead to a lifetime of issues........we are footing the bill.

I say house them in a drug/smoke/alcohol free environment for the duration of their pregnancy, take away their parental rights, and put the kids up for adoption by someone that cares. Then give them the choice of jail, or sterilization. I just can't for the life of me understand how such blatant abuse of a child in the womb is not a strictly enforced crime.

Just wondering if all liberals think this way.

Don't look at me... I still don't understand how a smoker is allowed to get free health care.

And they get to vote... clearly, they are sound decision makers.

Wait! I gets better!... they get to vote for things that are NOT in the best interest of society as a whole, yet they claim to be for "all". Go figure.

What's more fun than posting it here on THT is actually trying to talk to these kinds of people and asking them to explain it. I'll let you know if I ever get an explanation. Don't wait it.

What about over eaters, people that cross at the green and not in between, motorcycle riders, people who text and drive -- should these folks be denied free health care because of these risky activities?

What about access to commercial health insurance, everyone else's rates are higher because of these risk takers who could need extra health care due to these extra risks. Even the socialist republic of the European Union (SRUA) has not gone yet to these extremes. But give em time.

Daughter and son in law are temp foster parent for newborns. Almost all are because Mom is on drugs. Some have 4 or 5 kids in foster program. Was told the cost is about $4,000 a month for each child.

They breed because we pay them to breed.

An OBGYN at a large facility up here essentially told my wife that they do not want to test for Heroin or crack cocaine as it is not their concern. Ignorance is bliss essentially.

So we will be taking care of a retarded crack head baby for the rest of its life.

Yet you have doctors more concerned about guns in the home and asking the kids questions.

Medicaid is not insurance, it's redistribution of wealth to those who primarily don't care.

I'll play your game.

What about over eaters: Yes. They should. If you make bad food choices, you are a higher risk. Higher risks, pay more.

people that cross at the green and not in between, motorcycle riders, people who text and drive: Absolutely yes. Again, higher risk, higher premium.

Why do I have to pay for a person that can't keep the McBurger out of their mouth?

They care.

Try turning it off, and it will make the Rodney King riots look like a day at Disney World.

100% agree. It should be made as much of a crime as beating or harming a child in any other form, just because they are in the womb does not excuse it. It should be on the doctors too...if they see it and do not report it then they are charged as an accessory, although I see how that would be hard to prove, as they could plead that it wasn't obvious or no signs of it.....but not in the case of someone coming in wreaking of smoke and booze. You're on medicaid...ok, well now a mandatory drug test is part of what is required.

I would also add that if you need to be on Medicaid then you should be limited as to how much will be covered, as in you can't have 6 kids and continue to get coverage, after the second kid....Medicaid will pay for an IED or a vasectomy....take your choice.

When my daughter was born I was more than willing to pay for a private room for my wife, none were available, so she had to share a room, no big deal, the room was still nice, just not private. Then a women gets wheeled in with a baby, speaks no english, they need to find someone who can speak spanish in order for the Medicaid rep to communicate with her......which got under my skin enough that I was spending as much as I was in that hospital and sharing the exact same space as someone scrubbing my tax money away....but hey that's the reality of it. The next day her husband comes by to visit....with 4 other goddamn kids....he speaks not a damn word of english either. I wasn't a happy camper in that room at all after that. 4 kids, can't afford healthcare....we all get to pay for it, too stupid to put a rubber on and now they sit 10' from me and don't bother to learn the goddamn language. Just to be clear here....if they were white and from Hungary I would be just as pissed off.

Took me 6 months to pay off all the hospital bills, a fun surprise was the anesthesiologist didn't take my insurance, so I got a $12K bill in the mail....but also got to pay for the 5 kids in the bed next to us. Bullshit!
