Default Looking for alternative vacation ideas

For years we have gone to the Abaco's for our family vacation but this year the boat won't be ready, rental house will have to be used another time. Boys are 16/19, each bringing a friend. We are in S FL, willing to get on a plane and go somewhere different.
I floated Boston/NE, they don't want to ride in a car(European vacation) or do museums. Looking for ideas, will be first couple weeks of July

I think we need a little more info about what you're looking for.

I like Grand Cayman for the diving (And snorkling) - and just found out that flights are back down to a very reasonable $200/RT, for a couple of years there they were pushing $400+. There are direct flights to/from both FLL and MIA.

For a close, easy beach vacation I think it's a great option from S Florida. The reef, wrecks, and visibility are amazing. My only criticism would be that food there is expensive and not very good, but it is a tiny island in the middle of nowhere, so.

If you like to ski you should head to Valle Nevado. They've already gotten a few feet of snow and it is going to be dumping this weekend.

Took the wife and 4 kids to Bermuda about 10 years ago. Absolutely loved it. Best of luck.

Tacky beach town with tacky touristy activities, Ocean City, MD, Myrtle Beach, SC. Lots of things for a 16 and 19 year old to explore without getting into trouble and girls their age in bikinis, on vacation, at the beach.

Thanks, realize I didn't give specifics as I don't have them. Was thinking Costa Rica, always wanted to go. Not trying to duplicate the Bahamas experience. Colorado is good idea, maybe Grand Canyon. Is Wally World open yet??
