We are getting that here.

"We love your low taxes, everything else we hate. So we are going to move there and try to change everything to make it the way we like it, which will ruin your area. Then the taxes will be the same as the ones we were trying to get away from, but hey, you can get sushi delivered 24 hours a day, right!?"

Also only people from NJ/NY start convos walking into shops or preface questions with "So we are from NY/NJ"

That sounds about right. In the Tampa area we get more Midwesterners and Canadians than anything else. I've never had someone try to tell me how they did things in Cleveland. They are just happy to be here. The NY/NJ group are nice enough folks, but they do like to explain how everything was better up there. And they tend to explain it loudly.

There was a joke in my comment, ask one of the transplants to explain it to .....y'all.
I'm sure there are some things that ARE better up here, just like I am sure there are things that are better THERE.

I recently attended a town meeting, someone complained about the sand on BEACH RD! I kid you not, discussion included getting DOT to clean the road on a regular basis.

Why can't they talk in a normal tone? I have never understood that. Why do they have to basically yell to have a conversation? I can hear them in a store as soon as I walk in.

I was a million+ miler on United and after they merged with Continental I had to switch airlines to avoid being routed through Newark.

Def a Long Island thing. I'm sure not everyone from there does it, but I'll be damned if I can't pinpoint them in any restaurant.

And why does every Jewish person in NJ think they are Italian?
