Last week I ran some seafoam through my 50HP 2-stroke Yamaha and it looked a lot like that.

Haha. That's funny. How to seafoam your barrel smoker in one easy step!
This wants me to go fire ours up as well. Enjoy. Chris

I just transferred 16lbs of pork shoulder to the oven, 4 hrs on the smoker, 3 in the oven so I can get other stuff done.
That is a lot of smoke!
Apple wood is good!

Ribs were 2.99/lb at a good quality market here last week. I may or may not have bought 60lbs to vacuum seal and freeze.

I had just fired it up. That was paper burning under the coals and wood. No lighter fluid for me. 5hours, rest 15mins, get in my belly!

I'm wondering if maybe the pipes in the bottom? The caps allow you to adjust perhaps.

Looks good. Thanks posting the pictures.

The snorkel going up the side. Look close, it has a ball valve.

Nice job on the UDS and the pork.

I have run this thing at 225 for 11 hours with 10 lbs of coal and two small pieces of oak. The caps on the pipe are slotted and allow air. You can adjust them and leave them alone they are set. I cook at 225 for everything. The stack on top allows for more flow. Go to YouTube and search Ugly Drum Smokers. Or Google popular mechanics smokers article that lists all the parts. I love this thing!

You can find them for $25 dollars. I didn't use one. I started a huge fire in mine and let it cook the paint off on the outside. My drums where lined with bags when new. They are not galvanized, just plain steel. I used a weed burned too for the outside. Sanded and painted. I let a fire burn for 24 hours in it and when it was all said and done I sprayed Pan inside the drum to season it and keep it from rusting. I have $95 dollars in each drum. The drum was free.
