Default Divorces Suck when you must sell

Well THT members, had to sell my 2006 Proline Super Sport today. Frikin wife was the person who convinced me we need a bigger boat than a flats boat. Bought it for her in 2014. While in marriage counseling we used it a handful of times from 2014 to 2016. Took her flats fishing mostly, the bigger boat was for the beach.

I guess she got tired of it, as well as tired living in our waterfront home. She says I want to move to Pine Island, and will not stay in this house. I said do what you need to do. So at 62 years old she and her atty kicked me out of the house and is divorcing me.

I thought having boats was expensive. WOMEN ARE MORE SO...

I'm on my third wife. Each one better than the one before. I can hardly wait for the 4th.

Hey Keywest, that really does suck. I am in your neck of the woods, you can go fishing with me any time.

Trying to please a woman is like trying to hit a blue wing teal with a BB gun. Ain't gonna happen! BUT, it does get better. I couldn't be happier with my now current wife. Love her to death!!!!

Yup, I sold my boat. Paid attorneys fees with proceeds. Bought another boat. Looking for next boat...but not next wife. One was enough. Never enough boats

Sorry for your situation.

That sucks but a lot of us have been through it. It gets better and you'll get another boat. Hang in there, the sun will rise tomorrow with her or without her.

Been there, done that. It's not the end of the world, just a pothole in the road. Hope you have better luck with the next one (wife/boat/house).

I remember during mediation for divorce after being married 13 years I overheard my attorney and mediator attorney srating that I would do just fine financially after the divorce, bUT would not do well if same happened twice. So....no more marriage for me. I realize marriage is a partnership, but when you brought 80% of the bacon to the table but leave with half, it gives you pause.

That bites the big one, I hope you can find something to fit your needs on the water somewhere that will also afford you a boat to your liking.

Go have fun. With online dating I'll never get married (don't want kids), unless she's loaded.
