Whether it's true or not you can buy/make a lot of ice before actually saving money on those over priced coolers. Never understood the attraction.

From a post on AR15.com:

Yeti: Hey (redacted)! Thanks for taking the time to reach out! I hope you are aware we are not anti-gun. Those signs are for our Bar/Flagship location. While we do respect and support the 2nd Amendment, we have made the decision to not allow firearms where alcohol is served. Thank you again for your feedback!

Never have understood the Yeti attraction either.

Why would you be mad they don't want gun where they are serving alcohol? Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

I don't blame them at all. I never mix alcohol with guns. For one, it's not an efficient shape for mixing. But also, there are some serious concerns about barium compounds in the primers which could potentially be alcohol-soluble, and you don't want to be ingesting that. Bottom line: just use a swizzle stick.

It's probably one of the best places to carry, IMO.

I automatically stop trading with ANY company who chooses to limit my method of self defense.

It's their right to do so. As it is my right to spend my money elsewhere.

This is one of the few subjects of which I have zero flexibility.

I say let the local laws determine that. I can carry in a bar in NC, but I cant be under the influence or consuming....

In the Old West saloons checked your iron at the door for good reason. It would be hard to find a person more pro carry than myself but if I ran/owned a bar I would be fully on board with notification and compliance. While there are specific locations banning firearms I absolutely don't agree with, bars are not one of them.

Why are you guys so against freedom???

You (and I) have the right to carry in public, and - assuming this is actually on the "Yeti Door" - a private business has a right to dictate what you may or may not carry onto its private property.

Before you guys get all upity and start banning companies.....
That location is located on South Congress in Austin.
It is a Texas Law that you cannot carry into any establishment that serves alcohol. These establishments are also required to display that sign.

Man, that list of companies I can't do business with is getting too much to manage. Maybe I'll just live and let live.
