Default El-Cheapo Android 7" Head Unit with backup cam

Ever wondered if those cheap Chinese 7" GPS/Camera head Units were worth a crap? I've been watching these for a while and decided to give one a shot. I was replacing a Factory 2DIN Head unit an 03 Excursion (no bluetooth, no backup cam), so had low expectations.

The one I chose was a generic/unbranded 7" Android unit with the model number RK-A701. It's Android 4.4, 1024X600 Resolution, Capacitive Touchscreen, External GPS, 1GB memory, no backup camera included.

Got it on ebay for $135 with US shipping.

I also purchased a backup camera off of Amazon for $14, with LED lights and tilt.

Installed it yesterday in a few hours. Had to google how to wire it to the steering wheel controls, but discovered only one wire needed to be connected to the factory harness.

This unit exceeded expectations.
The Android OS is responsive.
The tuner picks up twice the stations as my factory radio did
Controls and setup is intuitive, since android. Hardly any Engrish noticed.
The resolution is better than expected.
GPS works good, and comes with base loaded maps, which are highly customizable.
Rear camera works awesome. No more calling the wife out to help me hook up.
It also supports front facing USB DVR/Cam, which I will be getting.($10..)
Bluetooth streams great.
Hands free works great.
Unit learned steering wheel controls in a few real easy steps!
Can download widgets/apps from app store.
If someone yoinks it at the boat ramp, I'm out $150...

Anyway, thought I'd share. I'm usually not impressed with Chinese electronics and generally feel that you get what you pay for, but this head-unit is 4X anything comparable I've seen at the local stereo shops. If you have an old factory head unit you want to replace on the cheap, you wont regret this one I dont think.
