i grew up on a cattle ranch of some repute and your not going to get a steak worth eating through any of the online catalog type stores, id send him a gift card to a steak restaurant where he lives , they most likley would enjoy that more

Actually, let me go one step better. Get him https://gio1.ultracartstore.com/?_ga...504.1481923833

We ate at the restaurant in November and just had them ship 2 to us this week. They were awesome.

I know a bunch of guys use creekstonefarms.com for high end barbecue/smoker cuts. I haven't tried them yet but plan to but one of my partners swears by them.

Is there a fresh market or a Whole Foods close by to where he lives? If so a gift certificate may be a better option. A lot of people hesitate to spend the money and they hire and meets there, but a gift certificate will sort of force them into it and give them a nice treat. Added bonus, they can pick out the particular cuts that they prefer, probably have enough for a nice bottle of wine and sides.

nice thought,,,gift card or local butcher gifty.
I think they all blow,,,local and their preference and selection will make them smile greater.

due diligence in the area and call local shop,,,they will bend over backwards and hook em up with a sweet deal.

the shop will do the leg work work,,,you hand over payment details,,,wipe your hands and wait for the the thank you.

best of luck and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

X2 for https://www.allenbrothers.com for simplicity.

Where in FL? This place has some amazing stuff: https://www.jimmypsbutchershop.com

The dry aged at whole foods is really good usually as well.

The biggest thing isn't where you get them, but what grade they are. If you get a select or choice steak, they are only so good.

I prefer Prime Angus, Kobe or Wagyu in that order when the budget allows.

Here's what the Jimmy P's Wagyu NY looks like:
