If I remember correctly, those detroit diesels smoked a lot back when the movie was filmed...

Aluminum hull, makes sense it could bounce off the bouy and boats it hit....

Can't wait to see it around. That was pretty state of the art in 1979. Huge beam was their signature as well as great sea boat. All aluminum also.

Just as odd timing wise; Fidel Castro had his navy seize one back in the day for being in Cuban waters. Kept it as his personal yacht as rumor has it.

Article says it was a 1979 Striker - sell price is $129,000.

Everyone had different tastes in movies, music, boats... but its interesting that when you said that it makes me think Caddyshack could be a barometer of friendship potentially

No argument! Entertainment to escape for an hour or 2. If you can't quote a line from any of these movies you better turn in your mancard. BTW, wimmin hate these movies, and anything they dislike has GOT to be good....

I play golf at a CC kind of like a modernized Bushwood. It's a great movie already, but seeing the uncanny parallels to reality makes it one of my favorites. We've even got the guys who play Gin in the card-room 40 hours a week. "Don't you have HOMES?!??"

It's like "Waiting". I waited tables in college; and it's spot-on too.
