Default Sirius Radio

Just got my invoice to renew, anyone know if the $5.00 a month deal is still alive? They want $10 a month for 6 months.
Thanks

Hold out and cancel it

Then you'll get their "special" which is $89 plus taxes for the year

It's all a scam otherwise, they'd lose all their customers.

I renew for 6 months for $29 plus some fees for a total of $33 - the year renewal is more expensive so I just keep rolling the 6-month terms.

It's still alive, mine might have been 5 months but I got the 5/month deal a couple of weeks ago.

Tread carefully.

They are betting you'll forget to cancel it in time and reup you automatically at the full vig. I would hold out for the one year special and put alerts in your email for two weeks before your renewal date.

5 month is the best per month deal going, I believe. Of course the real payment comes when you have to deal with them again in 5 months.

As other has said, get on it. Once you run out they will be tougher to get off the retail annual price and once they got ya they don't f around.

Yep... call and cancel. Just be honest and tell them their service ain't worth that. They will start with the one deal for a year.. then default to the 5 months deal.

I did this about six weeks ago.. Made them set an automatic cancellation on the last day of the contract (Got it in writing via email).

I set a reminder in my phone and pay by check so they never have my cc. Kind of a pain but I like my xm.

Go eBay and get a radio with a lifetime contract. When I first signed up in December of 05 thats what I did. The original radio is still going strong.

Not all cars/trucks have Bluetooth.

Mine is one that doesn't and I don't care to add an aftermarket system as the one in it works just fine.

Got 5 for 5 months just a couple weeks ago here.

Wife just renewed hers. Apparently there is an option where you can have them invoice you for an extra $3 then you pay once the 6 months is over. She got the offer in the mail. I believe it came to $33 for 6 months for her.

Tell them to paper invoice you , do NOT give them your credit card!

Still have to do it every six months. I don't know why they insist on the games.

Still easy to do. I can tolerate an email every 6 months, no biggie.

I pay $99.00 a year. I don't auto-renew, so when they call me and tell me my renewal will cost $300.00, I tell them I want the same deal or I will cancel.

It's worked for three years now.
