Default Miami to Missouri

Going on a longish road trip in a few days. Any suggestions on where to eat / sleep en route ? Got three days to make the trip.

If you take I75 up - Valdosta GA is 6.5 hours from Miami. Plenty of hotels to choose from, Smokin pig BBQ or austins cattle company for a great burger.

Valdosta would be my first overnight, Nashville the second. Lodging and dining are abundant in Nashville and you'll have a short drive on Day 3.

Do you belong to AAA? They would help you plan this trip and their Travel Guides are quite good.

Fat Matts is awful.

Smokin Pig is really good. Take Exit 22 off I-75 and turn right.

Best BBQ in Atlanta is Fox Bros. Second best is Heirloom Market.

Plenty of good eats and things to do in Nashville.

When you get to St Louis you will be ready for more BBQ. Do not miss Pappys Smokehouse. It may be Top 5 in the country.

X2 former long term resident.

If you are taking 60 across the river try and time it for early or late. 2 lanes for a long way and a single geriatric going slow will ruin your day. Sometimes it's worth the extra time on paper to go up to St Louis to stay on Interstates.

Heading to O'Fallon, Missouri guys. I'll be there for approximately three weeks of flight training.

Did you say, "FLIGHT training"? Man, get on 19 up the west coast, to I-10 and overnight in Pensacola, then take in the Navy Flight Museum (huge, great exhibits, and free).

From PNS connect to I-65N through BHM and 78 through Memphis (see the Riverwalk) and onto MO.

I'll defer to the local then. I'll have to check all of them out if we make it that way because I obviously didn't share the awful opinion. It's been a number of years though.
