Nice tree Bluffman.

You got a tall tree, how high is the ceiling?

We brought our tree inside Wed. to let it get used to the temp and get a drink of water. Overnight, the cat tried to climb it and over it went, the base had about a gallon of water in it.

Thursday, I strung the lights and the GF did the decorations. Overnight, the tree went over again, this time without any help from the fury devil. I think the base is broken so now there's a screw eye in the ceiling that the tree is tied off to.

Got our up today, did the whole go out and cut one. I can remember going to the farm with my grandad and he would have one he'd had his eye on all year and cutting it down. My wife had never been to cut one and were way to far from our land to do it so we went to one of the farms.

Had one of those crappy plastic plastic stands and fought with it for an hour before I went to lowes and bought a decent one.

Definitely not the best looking tree I've ever seen but it's special to us. Will try to get a picture later.

This is our 12 footer. It's usually a little more decorated but our son was in rare form last night throwing ornaments across the room.

Friday after thanksgiving is our tradition. We go to greenbrier on old bishop rd. Really nice folks. Been doing it for about 6 years. Get pictures every year with the tree we're about to take. Started with just me and wife now it seems there's an extra kid in the pictures year after year lol

We started the Friday after Thanksgiving and didn't finish until Saturday afternoon.
We have too much in the way of decorations - 15-20 18 gallon totes and 4 60 gallon totes of stuff, plus the tree and some bigger outside items.
My wife insists they all get put up. It takes me 4-5 hours just to do the outside lights.
