Default Ranch hand type bumpers

Had one on my last truck. Ordered it from some little shop in Texas circa 2007, but can't for the life of me remember the brand. No longer own that truck either. Just creamed a deer on I-95 and messed up the stock bumper. Finally have a reason for a new one.

What are some of the other smaller operations building the ranch hand type replacement bumpers?

I am looking at them now. Not sure which direction I want to go but I am leaning towards a winch ready bumper, just in case

The last one I took OFF lacked any engineering. The winch mounting plate was insufficient, the mountt used a suspension bolt as its tie in point and looked far tougher than it really was. I ripped the winch plate off the bumper using a 12k winch. If you really want to use the winch/bumper, go with a better choice. ARB, Warn, Ramsey, Buckstop are the ones that I have been satisfied with. There a bazillion builders though and you really need to be cautious as it could really hurt you and your passengers.

Unless they have gotten an engineer to really design their bumpers to withstand winching forces, be safe with airbags and prep them properly for the finished coating, I would pass.

There are far better options out there.

I've had a ranch hand bull nose bumper since 2005 and I love it. It has a front hitch receiver that I use often to move trailers in tight quarters.

I haven't hit any deer with it but when I was in 29 palms years ago training to deploy a 15 pax van ran into it and destroyed the side of the van and left a 2" paint scrape on the bumper.

My next vehicle will have s replacement bumper whether it is ranch hand or other.

When I was in Australia I got a kick out of the hardware in place of the front bumper, they call them roo bars and they get used, they just aren't decorative.

Yeah good to go. Hit my share of deer before, but that was a first on the interstate at 70. Almost knocked the front license plate bracket into the transmission cooler but didn't. Only thing messed up is bumper.

I get a kick out of some of the stuff folks buy over here that looks like what they run over there. LMAO.

Its very easy to ruin the looks of a truck with to much on the front end. To me anyway.

Little adds a lot but a lot is just that. !!!

Just my views. Adding something to what the trucks design looks like to start with is ok but changing the whole bumper out for something like that in the photo...........HE--!! NO.
