That is the worst rendition of our anthem I have ever heard. It was wayyyyy to long, I couldn't understand half the words she was saying. How shameful for her to sing it HER way. I think Rosanne Barr did a better job!

I hate when singers add all the little sounds, repeat words, change the tempo, etc. Just sing the song in a respectful way that people can actually understand.

Reminds me of George Costanza, bebopping and scattin all over the place:

Personally I believe that our national anthem or any countries national anthem should not be subject to artistic interpretation.

Play and sing it as it is written.

I remember being at a 49er/Vikings game in the early '90's where Chaka Khan sang the national anthem and half the stadium booed her at the end. Freakin HORRIBLE!! Just sing the song in a nice respectable way.

One of the best I heard was Huey Lewis and the News at another Niner game in the late '80s. It was awesome, and I don't even like Huey Lewis and the News.

There was a local radio station in Detroit, Drew and Mike, and they would make fun of her to no end. She was a hoarder and her houses were filled to the brim with garbage. Her son burned one of her 10K sq ft hoarder houses down. She's a special kid of trash.

I just wanted her to stop singing so the game would start.

By contrast IMHO, Freddie Jones before the Redskins v Cowboys game.

Couldn't find a video of the actual performance but here's a recent one...
