Default Any Andy Griffith Fans here????

Not sure if this is a "southern thing" or not but Admiral and I love to watch the old Andy Griffith shows when they are on

Couple of my favorite episodes are Citizens Arrest, The Big House, The Gold Truck, The Esquire Club and Aunt Bee's Pickles (watching that one now)

Never really cared for he show when it went from B&W to color and when Don Knotts left the show

There was an episode where Andy and his girlfriend went on a date shooting crows. Can you imagine that on a sitcom now?

The Darlings (Dillards) and Ernest T Bass were some of the best. Otis and the "Flower Ladies" were good ones.

Love it here too. Tprice must be watching TVLAND cause I just saw Aunt Bees pickle episode too. I like the B&W ones best myself I normally don't watch the color episodes either.

a little known fact is that the character Floyd the barber was played by Adolph Hitler. He threatened to quit the show if the producers did not let him change his mustache. But he relented and the rest is Hollywood history.

Around here the nbc network airs the local news at noon the the Andy show from 12:30 to 1 pm. Years ago they decided to air something else in that time slot. You would not believe the letters and phone calls the station received! They put it back on, evidently people were planning their lunch hours around the show at work.
Another interesting fact--Did you ever notice all the men on the show are single with one exception. Otis and he is drunk all of the time.

I seen a episode last night I'd never seen before. Didn't know Floyd had a son.
