Default Happy Happy boy (me)

Just picked up a Model 70 Winchester XTR European Featherweight in ....6.5x55 Swede! These were only made in 1986 and a limited run at that.
I had my hands on one years ago at Eds Gun shop in Vass NC. Passed on it as I had magnumitise.....
Well, with a safe full of killers (on both ends) I'm looking for something a little more sedate.
Found one on Gunbroker and she's headed my way!

I have 100 rds. of Hornady brass, a new set of 6.5 dies, 2 pounds of powder and a box of Hornady 129 grainers , and a box of 140 grain Accubonds on the way , I'm stoked!

Something has gotten me, don't know what. Other than my AR-15 I have not shot a high powered rifle since 09' when I killed the moose in Canada.

Just kinda lost interest, til this came along. Now cant wait to get to the range and work up some loads for this thing!!!

Gonna be a tac driver I'm guessing. Bet recoil isn't featherlite tho.

I have the exact rifle and it shoots like a dream. Light recoil and if I do my part with the load and pulling the trigger it will shoot 1/2-3/4" groups all day long at 100.
It shoots to the same point of impact on a cold barrel or hot and it kills stuff dead far out of proportion to its size.
But hey... the Scandinavians use this little cartridge on moose say in and day out. It really performs and I would have to pretty hard pressed to let mine go.
