I only go to 2 stores on Black Friday Home Depot and Lowes. They usually have a few good deal door busters. Through the years have bought many wet dry vacs, ladders, tire pressure , tools, 99 cent pointsetters, flashlights, but somehow they always manage to keep the sale from leaking out. Lowes has nothing that I need this year except a dust buster for 29.99 normally 59.99

Sorry I didn't specify but I meant that the sales flier does not get released until the day before thanksgiving. All the other stores adds are released online except Home Depot.

The other secret is that they raise prices on Thursday night and then draw lines through them.

I am kinda surprised this year. My local Home Depot has the isles stocked with all kinds of displays. I am very curious to see what Black Friday brings.

I just went to their website and they have several items listed. For what it's worth the little compact DeWalt table saw that they have listed for $299 is worth EVERY penny. I bought one about 5 years ago after trying several others. Mine cost me ~$400 I think. It sees lots of use and is still very accurate and strong. In my mind you wont find a better job site table saw.

Home Depot has some raised bed gardens I like...wonder if those will be on sale. Doubt they carry them in the store.

A carpenter once told me the best deals on new tools are at the pawn shops after Christmas.

You're right about the Dewalt portable table saw being a honey--if you move around to different job sites. I bought the bigger cast iron Rigid Table Saw last Christmas, and it's absolutely great--but not on sale right now.

I was in Home Depot yesterday, and couldn't believe they had so many tool displays--throughout the front of the store and even on the aisle mid ways to the back of the store. It's the best time you'll find to buy lithium hand tools and drills, etc.

Lowes is the same way this week.

I know that tool brands are like outboard brands to some people. If you like Ryobi, HD has a nice $99 package that includes both an impact driver and a drill driver, 2 18 volt lithium batteries, and a charger.
