I can't even get Noah's Mill or Rowan's Creek in Virginia.

I could drive an hour to WVA or MD to pick up Noah's, but it's a crap shoot for what they might have in stock (most of the independent ones have crappy online inventories if they have them at all). And I'm not driving an hour each way just for the hope of a bottle of Noah's. It would be nice to have a state that supported independent liquor stores, but it's a cash cow for VA, so there's no way it will ever happen.

Next for me to try is Bounty Hunter Wine (and Spirits) - they carry some craft bourbons and ryes. I already have an account there for wine, so it might be worth it to see about getting some that way. Shipping is always the long pole, though.
Interesting. I forgot about states like that. If you are on FB, you can get on one of the secondary market pages and fine them. Often times they don't go for much more than they cost in the store, you just have to pay shipping.

I attended a conference for my work this week. They have an auction and this was one of the items up for bid. I have not been able to get it locally so I went ahead and got it. Paid a little more than if I could purchase outright, but it went to a good cause. Can't wait to give it a try this evening.

Wish I could find some Weller 107 or Special Reserve in the Tampa area - brother-in-law loves the stuff, can't get it in SC, and is coming to visit in 2 weeks.

Anyone?

The Weller Antique 107 is allocated in most of the gulf states. However, if you have any friends in Texas, they can get you 1.75s of the Weller Antique 107 since its not allocated there yet. The only way I can get it here in Louisiana, after the allocation is sold. BTW, the Texas prices are still about 35 for the fifth and 45 for the handle. Best of luck.

Opened a bottle of Wathen's Single Barrel this Tuesday that I had purchased in Kentucky back in March. Can't find this stuff in NC. Poured over an ice ball and it turned out delicious. Got through about 8 ounces. On-line reviews aren't that favorable, but I found it to be really nice over the ice.

While in Louisville, I also picked up a bottle of Old Forester Single Barrel "store bottle" while at the Haymarket and Hounds bar. These were being delivered that evening by the Master distiller and he signed the bottles. Not sure when I'll open that one, but I am a believer that bourbon is produced to be consumed not collected.

Got a bottle of Jefferson Very Small Batch as a gift.... nice. Sorta reminded me of Woodford Reserve. Didn't taste them side by side. But as my taste memory serves, they are similar.

For those in the Raleigh/Durham area - there seems to be quite a bit of Buffalo Trace available right now. You may need to ask at the counter for it since some stores have it in the stock room - others just have it behInd the counter.

Buffalo Trace is widely available up here. Sadly, the local store pick BT I liked so much is sold out. Still have 1 bottle left.

4 Roses Small Batch ain't bad, tho... Just got a bottle of that.

4 roses does their bourbon differently than most. It's fairly interesting. Everything is a blend. They have 12 different recipes (iirc) they use to get their flavor profiles. Every small batch is the exact same blend of 4 different barrels.

If a taster finds a special barrel, they set it aside and then produce some rare small batch stuff. On those bottles, they have the barrels listed on the label that they used. It'll be something like AAAE or AAEE or AAAA or whatever.
