Picked this up last week, trying to track down a bottle of Blanton's and Buffalo Trace, this is from BT and I was told it was smooth. Anyone try it? I'm getting ready to move, keeping my new stock closed till I get settled in.

Anyone know where I can get BT and Blantons between Tampa and Sarasota? I struck out at total wine.

in all the bourbon I have and have had in my life, I have yet to try Weller Special Reserve.

Bought a bottle last night thinking it might be part of my cheap "go to" collection.

Terrible....couldn't stand it. Zero flavor to me. I guess all this high proof stuff I love to drink has killed it for me. lol

The Weller Special is ...um well, not their best effort. The 107 and 12yr however are outstanding

agreed! the weller antique (107) is a pretty great value...but really hard to find now the most guys know it's pappy's "younger cousin".

the weller special reserve reminds my in a way of basil hayden -- has a great name and solid heritage but the juice in the bottle doesnt meet expectations for an experienced whiskey drinker.

Im a huge 107 fan...its amazing to me that Weller Special Reserve is the EXACT same juice as 107 just proofed down.

Amazing how water screws up a good drink.

That's why I don't see the ice thing. Maybe, maybe a half teaspoon of water to temper down the 130 proof stuff but at least then it's consistent all the way through.

Just picked up a bottle of Old Grand Dad 114. Never had it before. Also bought the last bottle of Buffalo Trace. Lady behind the counter said it doesn't stay on the shelf for long.

OGD114 is a fine bottle for the money as far as I'm concerned. Don't know how many cases I have bunkered

I know a store that carries BT in my area for $22 and I buy 2 bottles every time they have it. However, they are usually sold out it. Most places carry for it around $30 and it's still worth it but I won't buy 2 bottles at a time for $30. It's become my go-to everyday bourbon. I like Blantons but the last bottle (from the distillery's gift store) left me a little unimpressed for the price

Not a Blantons fan....I've had a bottle for over two years I just can't get through.

I've had Blanton's gold, green and SFTB.....don't like any of them.
