some good friends just had their first child a few weeks ago. They named him Rowan. So of course I had to get them a bottle of Rowan's Creek. And having never had it myself, of course I ordered a bottle for me.

It has taken me this long to finally crack it open...I'm getting ready to take my first sip....it smells good......................................ooohhhh yeah....that's some good sauce right there. I like.

Thought same thing that it was very smooth for 100 proof, but then again I like WT 101 on the rocks .

Our first Collie was named Rowan, which is why we bought a bottle, and it has become our favorite - and yes, VERY smooth for 100 proof.

Same here, picked up a bottle last weekend and stopped at friends on the way home from the marina yesterday to give it a try. Excellent, especially for 100 proof. The expected heat didn't really happen and was tempered down due to the up front carmelly sweetness.
The stuff is hard to find around here, but I'll be stopping by the same place next weekend to see if they have anymore. The $32 price point can't be ignored.

There are a ton of different 1792's and numerous good store picks. The pricing for what it is IMHO is great.

Look for store picks....I found a store pick for $26 that I should have cleared the shelf of but I probably have 8-10 different bottles.

I agree, for the price ($30 bottle) it is very good stuff. To me that and Jeffersons are both great tasting bourbons at a very good price Heck you can get big bottle of 1792 for $51.00 in my area

The full proof (125 proof) is my favorite. Almost out and can't find any more.

It's a BT kind of night for myself.

Don't want to stir a pot with this question, but who all use whiskey stones vs ice vs neat?

ICE, I can not stand anything other than coffee hot.

Try drinking Blantons neat and it is great but still prefer over ice however I do have one of those things that makes big ice balls so they don't dilute it too quick

I'll add a cube or two if it's warm or hot weather. But neat if the ambient temperature is cool. Not bourbon tonight. Off tomorrow so had a milk stout earlier. Now a "neat" little Dimple Pinch.

generally I go neat with the good stuff. I will add a splash… very little splash...of spring water to the higher proof stuff

Mostly neat, don't like the watered down sludge at the end.
