Wow, I was looking at that in a store in East Harford/Glastonbury line and there were three or four kinds rangeing from $80 to $95.

Our lawyer just dropped off a bottle of Redemption High Rye Bourbon...said his little bourbon drinking circle approved and it isn't all that expensive. We shall find out tonight...I think.

Over the weekend I stopped by a liquor store in Augusta, GA and they had a few bottles of Yellowstone bourbon. I have never heard of it so I bought a bottle. Tonight I decided to crack the seal and now wish that I bought a couple bottles. The price point is right at $50 and find that it well worth it. It is easy to drink and interesting flavors. Can not describe it like any other bourbon.

Anybody else tried it?

I thought that was going to be the case but the bumblebee rubber wine stop saves the day...I have a lot to do tomorrow taking off early today and mashing the lien button not once, not twice but thrice this week has me sewing up some very loose ends

Went to Bob's in Knoxville TN and found their bottle pick of Jefferson's small batch. I'd had their small batch before and was interested in what they blended. Neat was good; almost like a sour mash after-taste. But it really gets good on a big block of ice cube. Reminds me of bookers with a few drops of water. For $24,I'm all in. Going back down Tuesday and buying a couple cases if they have it.

If they have it, I'll do it. Has to be the best bourbon I've had for the money.

man that is mighty fine of you!!!

Well, it's really happening. One of the big chain stores in Houston just raised the price of Bookers to 89.99

If you find it for the old price, buy all you can.

Glad I did.

I'll let you know what I find at Bob's.

Sad about Bookers. That was my first ever premium liquor. Wife bought me a bottle back in '97 and has been in my bar ever since. A pox on that chain's house.

There's a steak on a plate joint in Greenville, SC that I always hit when visiting family. Ridiculous choice of bourbons stocked. But I always order a Booker's. And they ALWAYS ask if I'd like a splash of spring water with it. Training maybe. I guess they aren't bourbon drinkers. I usually respond with "water?, no. You know fish f$&k in that stuff, right?"

Never even a chuckle.

Again, I'll let you know what I find at Bob's. Thanks for starting this message. I've been taking notes.

Liquor from vendors is the best. And they always reach out to hear a juicy story after the New Year.

I never disappoint.
