Two things that will solve that dribbling problem without drugs- a TURP and a radical prostatectomy. The TURP is casually referred to by my urologist as a "Roto-rooter job". I haven't had one, but know men who have and their BPH symptoms were relieved. A radical prostatectomy definitely relieves the BPH problem. After either, you'll stop taking FlowMax, because you won't need it.

a radical prostatectomy if for CA of the prostate,NOT BPH. there is a risk of impotence with a radical . with a TURP you get retrograde ejaculation. In other words the money shot goes into your bladder

True, but it certainly relieves BPH symptoms. As for retrograde ejaculation, that can also happen if you are taking FlowMax.

Flomax can also cause Intra Operative Floppy Iris Syndrome or IFIS. this can make my job as an eye surgeon much more difficult. Once it was realized that Flomax caused this they developed ways to combat IFIS. As for me, I am putting off taking any Flomax until the time comes that I need my cataracts out first.

I've been taking finasteride and rapaflow. Finasteride has knocked down the PSA concentration to below normal levels and the rapaflow has worked for flow as well. Side effects of the rapaflow bother me however.....constant stuffy/runny nose.

Not sure I understand what you mean by 'pee like you want'. But, I can pee when I need to and it seems like it all gets out ok....no dribbling.
On occasion, if there's a reason that I'm unable to go...like a long car drive, then it's not too comfortable peeing and it doesn't all empty.

the stuffy nose in the morning is a pain and when I talk it sounds like a have a cold, but it's better than the alternative!

Kinda what I was thinking. Why would anybody do a radical if there is no cancer? I had my radical at 43 years old. I will admit I did have some fun with it though. When people asked why I had the radical, I told them that I just wanted to get it out before I developed cancer. Some of them actually believed me.

I am going to tell you of my actual experience............

I have a friend that had a TURP. He went in on a Thursday and was back at his office on the next Monday.......He had no pain to speak of and his results were excellent..

I am 80 and I have lunch with ,my high school graduating class, (all boys school)(20-30 show up) the last day of the every month. It seems at least 1/2 of these guys have had a TURP with mixed results. One guy had to wear a catheter for 5 months and had nothing but hell with the experience. Some guys had very little difficulty.

I had the procedure in June. I was in the hospital for two days. I wore the catheter for 6 weeks and I had nothing but constant and excruciating pain. They removed the catheter several times before I could stand being without it. I was in pain for a month without the catheter and here I am in October 20 and I still have to pee about 10-12 times a day. I did better before the surgery..........................

My doctor tells me that things will get better..........I guess we will see.........
