Default Parker 2520XL speed

Just sea trailed a Parker 2520xl with f250 today and I am sad. 4400 RPM only 19MPH. Topped out 5900RMP with 20kts is that normal for Parker 2520 XL MV?

Was the bottom a seaweed farm? Tabs up? Motor trimmed up a little?

Seems like it should have done a lot better than that. Maybe post this in the boating section.

I had a 2520 (mod-V) with a single 225 Etec. In flat water, light wind, regular load of fuel, people and gear, I would cruise at 24-25mph at 4,000 rpm. Top speed was 36-38mph at 5,800rpm.

No bottom paint, motor height was ideal.

Something's wrong with it. I fished a 25 modified with a bracket for a few years. You should see mid 20's cruise and low 30's top end. That was with a single 4 stroke Yamaha 225 and a crew of 4.

I see 24 mph cruise at 42-4400 and 37 mph top end at 56-5700. This is with no tab and a crew of 5. 2520 with a bracket and f250

2 people, half tank of gas, 3 blades, taps up, best speed I saw 20kts. I figure something was wrong too. I forgot to look at the fuel burn. What are you guys getting mpg?

2.0 to 2.1 in real world fishing conditions (offshore)

2.2-2.4 in the river
