My nephew survived surgery and suffered no permanent paralysis. He has limited feeling from the chest down, but has a small range of motion. He will go into intensive rehab with the goal of walking again. We were feeling encouraged until the pathology came back yesterday. It's a very aggressive cancer. The prognosis is not very encouraging. He's 32 years old. We are devastated.

Really sorry to hear. Will keep praying for him.

Please look into the link between cancer and sugar. If you want to discuss details PM me.

I found out today that a best friend of mine that I had lost touch with passed away a few months ago. Never take life for granted. Pickup a phone and call those friends you've been meaning to call. They may not be there to answer the phone tomorrow.

Wow, this is a great idea! I just got back from Goldsboro, NC doing some volunteer work with Baptist Men flood relief. Those folks down there will need prayers for months to come and some folks to put feet on their prayers. Seems like a lot of these disasters hit the folks who can least afford them the hardest.
Prayer works!

I added this a bit earlier today.
http://www.thehulltruth.com/dockside...oung-lady.html

Also, just a little reminder to go through that list again as there have been some added. I can't say I remember everyone for every prayer, but I do ask for special attention for the "people on the THT list" and I'm sure the request is received.

If you know one of these people but aren't them, I suggest maybe just let them know that people are praying for them - people they may not have ever heard about, or may never meet. It is incredibly touching to know that IMO.

This little man needs all the help he can get right now:

He has the same genetic disease as my nephew, all the families know each other b/c it's so rare.

Heartbreaking.

Added both my friend.

Bluffman, thank you. I'm not about to start a list with my name on it but I'll accept the support and prayers.

I type this message thru tears as this world and our community lost a amazing man today . My friend Chad has gone to be with the Lord . Chad was an amazing father , husband and person . His 10 year battle with A.L.S came to an end at 3 a.m. I am close to their family , our children are close to his children and we are all broken for lack of a better word . I have coached his 12 year old daughter the last 10 months in basketball and his son and mine play on the same team as well. We have broken bread together , traveled together , prayed together . I bring this here to this thread with a plea to all that are on this thread to please lift the Poole family up in prayer . And some extra prayer for Maggie and Nicholas who will certainly be lost with out their father ... Rest in peace Chad and may the Lord comfort all who know you , and the Amazing works you have done in your all to brief time here on earth .

I'm sorry for your loss, reelin. You all will be in my prayers.

Reelin,

Prayers sent for your friend Chad and the Poole family. As someone who knows firsthand about ALS, 10 years is a long time to live with this disease; for both the pt. and caregivers (family).

God bless!
