So I let it out, let myself feel bad about myself, then bounce back and get on with it and back to being thankful instead of feeling bad that I'm not allowing myself to feel bad.

Praying and adding to the list. I had a friend who has gone through some evaluations for TIAs as well. PM me if you are open to it. I'd like to know more about her condition.

Praying for you & added to the list. Stay strong! Positive attitude goes a long ways and is so hard to have sometimes.

WilliamWallus also added. Thanks to Bluffman letting me know. He's got lung cancer which runs in his family and sounds pretty bad and says his insurance dropped him.

Good Thoughts and Prayers to all.

Here are some verses that fit THT pretty well.

Psalm 107:28-30
Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven

I am not asking for a prayer but felt strange not having to say one.

During Yum Kipper, in the Jews day of atonement, there is a service that is said for people that have lost a parent or brother or sister. For the members that have not lost one, they are asked to go outside while those that have lost one say a prayer for their lost family member.

While outside in the social hall everybody was standing out there and I looked around and have to say at age 62, I must have 8 to 10 years over any other person out there. Really made me feel strange and great-full. There is not many people out there age 60 or older that has both parents alive and have not lost a brother or sister. After services I stopped by my parents house and was thinking about my thoughs during services and how many more times I will be asked to wait outside.

Do not wait into it is too late to tell someone that you love them. And prayers do work! When I was going through cancer 11 years ago I had many people of many religions ask if they could pray for me and they knew I was Jewish. I said I am going to need all the prayer people are willing to say for me. 11 years later, clear of stage 4 cancer in the liver and colon. I will not say that it was just the doctors that save my life but the prayers helped me with the power to fight back and help the doctors preform better that humanly possible.

I am not a religious man but do believe in G-D! This was a little long but the message is pray for your friends when asked.

I was diagnosed with CLL in 2014. Initial prognosis was terrible, 2-5 years, due to the high risk type (11Q deleted) I have. They look at the "prognostic markers" to give you a general idea of the disease you have and how fast it will progress. I am really young (47 now) for this disease.

After hearing that news, which devastated my wife and children, we decided to get a second opinion at MD Anderson. Even though the diagnosis did not change, the doctor had a much better prognosis. She told me with the advances in treatment, and even with my negative markers, they could manage the disease.

I haven't started treatments yet, but my numbers are escalating pretty quickly. I just had a series of CT scans and there were no signs of tumors on my organs. I do have some enlarged lymph nodes, but that is expected with this disease. We are going back to MD Anderson on November 9.

One thing that happened to me, I am saved and I have been a Christ follower for some time, however, it is difficult to understand or really grasp cancer, until it impacts you in a personal way. Since my diagnosis, I have been able to witness to and pray for a lot of people. I had my time in the valley, but the Lord delivered me from it.

My best friend (outside of my wife) and coworker, has been battling colorectal cancer for about 5 years. Bad stuff. He was given terrible news in August and went to MD Anderson to see if they can help. He finished up another aggressive round of chemo, and will see the doctors Monday. Anyway, I have been able to make this walk with him and really understand what he is going through.

Pete, as we know as Seefood man, BlueEdge (recently diagnosed with ALS), Samantha, Emily, Emma, and so many others from this site, we have been praying for you and will continue to do so. I know bad news is tough to take at times, but don't put God in a box. If you don't know Him, seek him. Contrary to what the world tells us, He is still in the miracle business.

I am here for all of you, and even though I don't know most personally, I feel like I am a friend. Do not hesitate to reach out to me if needed. Also know that I/we covet all the prayers as well.

Thx Macabear... well said and I'm sure the Lord is no stranger to most folks posting on this thread.

Keep the prayers going... I'm convinced God hears all of them!
