Owen says belated Happy Valentines Day!
Praise God! We are seeing some good results from the feeding tube. He has gained about 2 pounds and 2 inches in length since his admission date to have it placed! Prayers work!

After a hard day of therapy....

He loves his therapy paper. Shiny, crinkly, and drives his mom crazy.....who could ask for more!

He looks amazingly well. Trusting in the Lord that his progress will continue to amaze us all. He’s getting cuter by the day. Prayers continue.

Spending 5 mins at work sending prayers for above posts....
Just finally catching up on some of these, it's been a hectic couple of weeks. That's great news about your Fiancee Mr Rock, still praying for you and everyone else.

Much better. Thanks for asking, Mark.

I actually don't get to see him as much now that he is out of the hospital. He was at Duke Children's and I work close to there. But we did go over yesterday and kept him while his mom and dad went out for dinner. He kept trying to talk to me and the wife. He seems to be much more observant too.

At one time we thought he would be blind and deaf but he definitely reacts to sound, light, and movement so that fear has been alleviated. He is a little slow to find faces and objects but we were told that would improve with practice. He is pretty much just starting out developmental wise.

The spasms he was having early on completely wiped out his ability to concentrate. With the tube feeding and medicine delivered through the tube, he can get the food and meds he needs to develop. Before he would spit up over half and it was getting worse.

The tubes we were dreading really do work. Not pretty, but very effective. He was not even on the growth charts 2 months ago, now he is at 30% and climbing each measurement! Praise God and all who have been praying for my Little Warrior (we found out that is what Owen means...)

Striper, Hallelujah you have a a Warrior for Christ. It is amazing how God puts parents and grandparents on their knees so much after we have children and grandchildren. He is not done with Owen yet.

That's great news Striper! I hate seeing anyone go through such painful medical procedures, especially little ones like Owen, but this all sounds so positive thank God. Will continue to pray for the little guy, he's a cutie.

PS. You and your wife are awesome friends to this family but I'm sure they know that.

Update on little Emery. He is off of the ventilator and whatever else he was on and doing much better. On behalf of his family, a huge thanks to the incredible THT gang. Tough start for this little man.
