Default Internet getting really irritating

Anyone else growing tired of needing to click a million times to get to the point of a headline? They bait you with a title and you need to click through 10 pages to get through the story. It's rampant...yahoo, msn, CNBC, everywhere. Legitimate sites using tactics to maximize their paid advertising are turning the web into a mess of click bait now has me clicking on almost nothing or closing the page since it's not even worth it. It's always been around but it's everywhere now.

To top it off, I'm also needing to sort through all the totally bogus national enquirer style news headlines. More ad revenue click bait. At least with these you can normally tell from the outlet reporting whether it's a bogus news channel.

If I click on something interesting and I have to click twice to see the same pic with half of a sentence, I close that shit out.

Yes annoying as hell. But it’s sort of like complaining about commercials on TV, it’s the price you pay for free entertainment / news.

My gripe is when clicking on a news story and a video automatically starts playing......

Why does a headline about paying off your credit card have a shapely woman in a bikini in the picture?

The pop ups themselves are an annoyance but what's getting me is the legitimate news stories that you have to click.... continue to next page 10 times to finish the story. Just so they can maximize the number of ads you are shown.

This, and fake news.

It's really bad on facebook! One of the "Top Ten" links, I think it was a top ten places to see in your lifetime had a virus that destroyed my computer a few weeks ago! I had the old XP operating systems and Windows wouldn't update XP any longer and that effected my anti virus programs. In the meantime I'm using an ancient Toshiba XP laptop that doesn't have a sound driver. I gave my old computer to my nephew an IT tech to rescue my photos. But he just had twin boys and it will be a while. In the meantime I ordered a gaming desk top which was recommended because of its graphics and storage capabilities for photography. It runs Windows 8.1, and a 1TB hard drive.

Because if it was a picture of me you wouldn't click on it.

If it has sponsored above it I'll leave it alone. Those are the ones that can go on for many pages.

I can't stand the sites that allow multiple video pop ups. Many news outlets now include a live broadcast along with the article, so that starts to play, then an ad starts to play, I've even seen a second ad in another corner.

It's just a jumbled up shit show at that point. X out one player, then X the other, mute the broadcast and suddenly the first one you "X" out starts playing the next video.

One rumor I've heard, is that it sounds like you get your feed from Yahoo, I do as well. That's the worst for listing 100 things to look at with the follow the story here clicks.
