Default Not sure what I need.......

What do I need.........I have a GPS/fishfinder/depthfinder already ( old unit ).
I want to be able to go out of state, say, Florida, and see the depth of the area I want to boat on. I'd also like an updated GPS unit. I don't do much fishing so fishfinder isn't very important to me. I'm not sure what I need to buy?
Budget is probably $1,000.00, maybe a little more.

16' Sea Ray bow rider or a 36' Contender?

Flush mount or bracket mount?

How much room do you have at your helm?

You need a generic chartplotter with chartmaps. The chartmaps are available for any areas you want.Garmin makes some really nice combo units.

Sea Chaser Offshore Series 2400
Plenty of room but would prefer mounting bracket so as to be able to remove it in this day and age of THIEVES !!!
