Default Sub pops up next to Russian crabbers in Sea of Japan

Maybe a rubber dingy isn't the best thing to be crabbing from there.

Knew a guy in Lake City that grew up in the Keys. Said he and a friend were out fishing one day in the late 70's or early 80's and a Russian sub surfaced about 100 yards from their boat. He said the sailors got out walked the hull returned in and a few minutes later they submerged.

Can't tell you it really happened but he made it sound convincing.

That same time frame I used to fish out of Mayport with a buddy from lake city that said he had seen a Russian sub just off Mayport checking out the naval base.
