I KNOW a friend that has the old tunnel clearing rounds from Nam.say 3000degrees@300' .Wow that' would hurt.

That and the $10/round have me thinking.
Nasty round, though. I guess it would be your self-defense load and price or barrel damage may take a back seat. I do not hunt but, that would at least provide some stew meat.

You are not loading that to shoot clays.

The wadding made it to the inside of the jell so I wouldn't think it could score the barrel. Plus its copper alloy so it would be softer than the steel barrel.

Thats a badass shell. But $10 is steep. A 3'' mag slug would cause enough damage at defense range and at $1 would be what Id go with. I (prune) Pine branches up to 4'' thick with slugs when they cant be reached. I shot will do the trick.
