Default What is Paypal "friends and family?"

What is this? I've seen it elsewhere, but how does this function....it must save some money on one end or the other?

The receiver doesn't get hit with the 3% charge. Pretty much a free secured way to transfer money. If you buy an item and use this method PayPal offered no recourse.

Also, there is no protection by PayPal. If the item isn't as described or you get scammed, you're out of luck.

It's a way to save the fees so you can come on here and bitch about having a deal go south and PayPal not helping you get your money back.

If you keep doing that, the day will come when you will have a problem without recourse.

Not to mention it's wrong for cheating PP out of their small fee for providing a valuable service.
