Default How much to give? Wedding.

Guy I work with is getting hitched tomorrow. It's a morman wedding, so me and the other heathens are invited to the ring ceromony afterwards. There will be a reception after, I will not attend.
What cash gift would you give? He is a college student and registered at target.

Not knowing where/type of work we only have the fact that he's registered at Target, which doesn't scream a lot of money, so I think $50 would do but I also feel that's on the cheap side for some reason.

I say $100 but if you are not that close $50 would work.

Excluded from the full wedding because my religion isnt the same as his? If im feeling generous, id give him my best wishes. Despite how im feeling, id ask God to be with him on his journey.

Yup.

I would kindly tell him that your cat's flea collar runs out on that day, and you need to be home to change it.

Perhaps a nice card may be in order. That would be it for me.

I didn't read it like that, but if that's the case, I'd question the fact that why I'm only invited to part of it since I'd be curious (assuming he's not terribly apologetic for excluding me from part of it), then say that's interesting and then say I can't make it, but thank you for the invite (mentally saying GFY).

Invited to a wedding of exclusion ? If I were you I'd give him a bottle.

Candle sticks always work well as a wedding gift. - bull Durham. If that is not your thing you can always get him a bottle of KY and a box of Trojans.

The religious exclusion thing would strike a nerve for me.

500 bucks is what you give your best friend's kid when he gets married, co-worker gets a toaster or cordless drill off the registry.

What an idiot. Did you not read he was MORMAN?

How the hell is he meant to split that meager haul with all of his wives?
