Default Hurricane Damage Report

Does anybody have any reports on damage from Matthew yet? It seems that it missed Ft. Lauderdale (thankfully). Any reports on issues from Matthew? Anybody have any contacts in the Bahama's? Seems like they got clobbered!

I had 1 or 2 seagrape leaves fall and a palm frown on the ground this morning. Also the quarter inch of rain didn't cause any flooding.

My family was supposed to land in Nassau this morning and stay at Atlantis for a few days. Airline canceled today's flight....yesterday. We thought about re-booking for tomorrow (Sat) but when we looked at the track going back to the Bahamas, we canceled the entire trip. The flight tomorrow is also canceled. It does seem the resort weathered the storm pretty well, although I don't know about the rest of the island.

The Atlantis website has been given updates at the below link:

http://www.atlantisbahamas.com/hurri...=Nav_hurricane

For us in NJ, we are expecting a sprinkle or two tomorrow. Gotta go get the milk and bread!

In all seriousness, good luck and prayers to all affected down south!

Not to be "that guy" but they have been talking about this storm affecting the Bahamas for a week as a possible Cat 5 and you were planning on starting your vacation TODAY???

No damage in Fort Lauderdale.
Had 3 boats in the water to prep and look after, my own GB 2770 and 2 sailboats on the same canal.
Busy, busy and stayed up until 2AM to monitor and help out but the only damage was a low beer supply.
Thank Odin..

I have reports from prevent in Freeport. Total devastation. Winds clocked at 180miles. Grand Lucaya yacht club and surrounding houses all lost their roofs. Houses have collapsed off 8 mile rock. Roads are still flooded and Bahamians have been told they will be without power for 13 weeks / December.

We are collecting supplies and taking our first flight over tomorrow to west end.

They showed the Atlantis on the news. Looked like lots of leaks but for the most part I think it was ok. I'm sure the rest of the island is a mess. They were on the wrong side of the storm.

You got lucky Atlantis sucks I went there this summer go somewhere else. Cost of Ritz and the service of a Super 8. Worst vacation I have ever had.

One tree down along the fence line. Fell into my neighbors horse fence. I'm in Martin Co. (inland). Power out for 12 hrs. Guessing some of the gusts were 70-75 mph. Slept through it.

Lots of palm fronds and leaves.

Still waiting for it. Now they say it's coming here again. It'll change overnight I'm sure.
