Default Best gun range in Vegas

Me and a friend are going to Vegas at the end of the month and she wants to go to a gun range and do some shooting. She is more interested in shooting pistols but I want to try something like an AR 15.
Neither of use have done any shooting before, we live in a safe country where we don't need guns so looking for a good place for beginners.
Anyone have any recommendations for a good place?

We did battlefield vegas http://www.battlefieldvegas.com, they picked us up right from hotel...
All range instructors were prior military, first class operation.

My buddy was just there yesterday (battlefield).

They shot a grenade launcher, M-60, M-16 (ar15) and some pistols.

Said he had a blast.

Do you have guns with you?

If so take I-15 to US hwy 95 north. left turn on Cold Creak road. Right turn on first unpaved road. Fun place to shoot alone (others shoot there, but have never been there when I was there). So much better than shooting inside. It is the area toward the top center of the image.

It cool to see the wild horses and donkeys out there too.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
Going out to the desert to shoot our own guns is out of the question as neither of us owns any guns.

For those that went to battlefield did you have any issues with having to wait? they don't take reservations and I have heard from someone that they had a very long wait at one gun range, but they didn't say which one it was.
