Default More Corrupt Cops

Cops: More Stupid, More Arrogant or More Corrupt?

On September 11, 2015, Connecticut resident Michael Picard was filming a protest near a police DUI checkpoint in West Hartford. Unbeknownst to the troopers who confiscated his camera, it was rolling while they appeared to fabricate”–sic; there’s no “appearing” about it: they are clearly “fabricating” from whole cloth –“criminal charges against him.” These venal dimwits then returned Mr. Picard’s camera to him, footage intact.

You don't think this type of behavior among LEOs is a problem or that people should be aware of such things?

Something similar to that happened to my buddy in college. Not much you can do about it if it isn't on tape. Your word against theirs. Think of how many times this happens. This just happened to get caught on tape.

Sounded to me like business as usual for these guys.
Certainly not the very first time.

And none objected or had a second thought about what they were doing.

OP....
We get it, there's a few really bad cops out there. While it is your right to post everything and anything negative regarding this countries police men and women. To constantly shine your bias light on one side of the wall while never showing the other side clearly and very conclusively shows your not objective what so ever in your battle against law enforcement.

For every one article you post, I can post ten showing cops going above and well beyond thier job!

Yes, we have a problem with a very small fraction of this countries police and law enforcement agencies, but that pales in comparison to the overwhelming good our peacemakers do in the most stressful and misinformed, misconstrued, outright lied about career on this planet.

I've asked you this before but I don't think you ever answered! Have you been on an urban inner city ride along on a Friday or Saturday night?

If not, please do so before your next post!

Uhhh......if you read his post he is posting about "corrupt cops". Why would you have a problem with that? He isn't denigrating or maligning cops that are not corrupt. I would think even good cops would get pissed at this or they should be.

It is hard telling how many innocent people they have done this to. I can't quite understand the need for some to try and cover up corrupt police practices.

Do you honestly think corrupt cops deserve some kind of protection?

I posted a video of corruption not by a single individual but by several individuals who took an oath to uphold the law cooperating in falsely accusing someone for their own personal reasons. Why would you not want such highlighted and the guilty parties stripped of their authority? This type of activity can not be tolerated because of the distrust it breeds and the problems that follow from such. We should all have a battle against fraud, abuse, graft, and corruption that exist in our government.

Several have been posted and good on them, that does not excuse or preclude us from objecting to bad acts.

How did you quantify the size of the problem? One of the most objectionable things about that video is none of the other officers objected. Did all of the 'Bad Apples' end up on that detail or is the problem more institutionalized?

No and frankly I have no interest in doing so nor do I believe it is a reasonable or valid excuse to act in the manner shown in the video.

Spot on

It's the Internet.

The keyboard cowboys don't actually read anything. They just see the topic and unload with whatever agenda they think that they are promoting

we need to see these videos, there needs to be complete accountability, first to allow for those who dont protect our Constitution and protect/serve and secondly to hopefully dissuade future LEO's from following in there footsteps, today its drumming up false charges tomorrow it may well be taking bribes, graft or even outright murder. Those who feel this is wrong do so because they feel its an attack on all in Blue, its not, its on those who choose to abuse there positions, that video had master sgt's conspiring to lie and fup someones life, thats BS, and he needs to be kicked off the force and charged, as well as have his crime plastered on all available media.

I never disputed your right to post this, nor did I say it should be hidden. Obviously these cops are doing something they should not be doing, (that is IF the video has not been editied, which I dont know). Bad cops need to go, and hell yes good cops hate bad cops because it make their job that much harder.

My point is, you never post anything besides these bad cop posts, and to everyone who knows that your message is undermined by your hatred of all police officers. As you can see, most of the well respected law enforcement folks here don't even bother responding to your posts anymore because you are such a cop hater and your posts whether or not valid just get ignored. That is all I'm stating here. I'm just trying to get you to see the other side which if you want folks to take you seriously you should listen to.

Why are you afraid to go for a ride, don't want to witness something that will change your mind or hatred for police officers?

Every single person in this country should go take a ride for a 12 hour shift in any large urban inner city on a Friday or Saturday night. Their delusional perspectives would be changed overnight!
