My wife has been a middle school guidance counselor for 10+ years and she swears by the full moon thing. If it's a Friday and a Full Moon, she says that is the worst!

Daughter in law is an ER nurse...dang good one too...and I have heard her say it a dozens times if not more.
"Well I see my night shift is going to match the full moon so I better gear up for it.:

She says it happens without fail. Every full moon is crazy busy in the ER and its often times really weird stuff.

Very very occasionally it is the opposite though. There might be a full moon and it is dead quiet. That is almost more eerie in a hospital than a typical full moon night. Nature is a strange bird indeed.

That's a Friday and a full moon. I might just call in sick to work right now.

Tuesdays... plain old Tuesday night can be absolute insanity in my town. For no apparent reason that any of us can determine, the crazies seems to prefer Tuesday night to let themselves cut loose. Dunno why, its always been that way, weird.

Yes, it's where we get the word "lunatic" from. The moon causes tides every single day, so it's not like it only exercises gravitational pull on a full moon.

What IS different is the amount of light. The more light, the more likely people are going to go out at night and be active without needing artificial light. It's the same reason why cities in warmer climates have higher crime rates than cities in cooler climates - it's more comfortable to be outside. It's not a binary thing, either on or off, but enough of an influencer to change the numbers when all other things are equal.
