Default Amazon rant

Had Amazon from get go.

Got prime from day one when it was like $60. Then it went to $100 and paid, even tried to watch tv, got fire tv etc. not my thing. They take all the conceived savings with that fee, believe me I did the math, at least for me. $2k in buying /year.

After a bunch of 2nd day prime BS fiascos I cancelled. Still ordered and got my stuff in 2 or 3 days anyways. I guess a lot of people figured it out and cancelled as well.

Now they will hold the orders and not ship for at least 5 days. BS business practice.

I understand bussiness but I could order from the shadiest ebayer and they will ship within 2 days. As a buyer the feeling of Amazon to push for a service I really don't want is BS.

Going to avoid Amazon as much as possible. Find product and rating in Amazon then going to source or ebay to buy.

Sayonara aholes at Amazon.

Glad to see somebody will admit their BS business practices.

I mentioned something along these lines in another thread not too long ago and damn near got my head ripped off.

Buy anything Prime from Amazon now and they charge tax as well. The savings are gone!

Maybe they just do not like you. I ordered something on Monday am and it is scheduled to be here today ( Wednesday ) I did pay 8 bucks for standard shipping and I am not a Prime member. Not sure why they are holding your orders.

Most internet stores charge sales tax when we have stuff shipped to Florida. No sales tax when shipped to New Hampshire.

We are Prime members and I've never had anything held. It's shipped right away. There are products that are sold by other companies through Amazon that have free shipping and it looks like Amazon Prime. I have noticed a couple of orders that were placed with these independent companies that seemed to wait a few days to ship the product, when I opted for free shipping.

Yep, it is $49 dollars for free shipping for non Prime members. I would think that will keep going up to get people to sign up for Prime.

Any order fulfilled by Amazon pay sales tax, whether it is Prime or not. Most orders fulfilled by 3rd parties do not pay sales tax. This is true for our orders in Michigan.

I could care less about the savings, as it was never my primary motivation for using prime. As long as they're pricing is in-line with local retailers such as a target and Walmart, the added convenience of avoiding going into those places makes the annual $99 fee more than worth it. I don't think I have stepped foot into Walmart, other than their stand alone grocery store, in almost 6 months.

I will agree that Fire TV is way overrated. I do however like their streaming music service, and the mobile Amazon Music app is wonderful. It allows you to have a Pandora like application that doesn't eat data, great for long road trips.

You paid. Key word. I wouldn't mind to pay tax or shipping, just don't advertise BS.

And my feeling are hurt knowing they just don't like me. One of the biggest corporations in America gives 2 shits about me. Boo hoo

I've had a different experience; I order a few times a month, and the items show up when they are supposed to. Very little variation, and no driving around to find things.

Love my Amazon Prime, any problems or discrepancies have been handled swiftly and properly. The only real problem I have is fitting all the damned cardboard boxes in my recycling bin. I believe any major etailer has to charge sales tax if they have a physical presence in your state if it has a sales tax.

I have noticed the same thing. If I order from Amazon now, it's usually from other retailers. Many still offer fast, free shipping and charge no tax. Personally, if you're not watching Prime TV, and I'm not, it's not worth the $$$$.

Bye Felicia ! Amazon continues to CRUSH EVERYONE else, you sir at in the minority. Just try to order something 2nd day from another online seller. The shipping costs are STUPID from others. TO the tune of $36 for a 4# box 2nd day from another online seller. I check occasionally to keep Amazon honest and no one else is even close. PLUS I get most of my music for free with Prime, free movies/TV. It cannot be beat. And there prices still beat almost all others ESPECIALLY locally like ChinaMart which I persoanlly think is the devil.

Oh and their warehouse deals simply cannot be beat, PERIOD. Yeah occasionally they screw up but always take care of the situation. And little things amaze me: I order a fuel sending unit HALF the price for identical part locally. It shows up in 48 hours. I also order the new gasket/screw kit figuring Ill replace that also. New sender already comes with it. I start amazon return online and the part was so cheap they say keep it (no need to return). They must figure it would cost them more to process return so hell give it to the customer. GREAT SERVICE PERIOD!

You are correct. They delay shipment of items that are in the local warehouse just so you sign up for prime.

Have prime and love it, there was a hiccup or 2 over the past few years.
Quick chat and resolved or a credit.

We start ordering Christmas things in September from Amazon.
Keep your malls, I will only go once during the season just because and this on a Sunday when they open.

I have 7 orders coming as we speak from a new Sawzall to New Turkey Fryer regulators....+ + +
Ordered last night and some are delivering today and the others tomorrow.

It would have taken me at least 3 to 4 hours to go shopping for all of this and many miles.

Ordered most of my daughters college bools used/rented as well and not one hiccup, with the exception of ordering one Nursing book twice for $200+

Dad, why do I have 2? Uh Uh I'm plus 55 dear!
They took it back no problem for a full refund.

Time is money! Love Amazon & Prime.
