Default Mailbox Forwarding Service Review: No More Junk Mail & No More Mail Clutter

I've been using mailboxforwarding.com exclusively for my mail about a year and a half now and really didn't realize how much I really love it until I started (somehow) getting actual physical mail in my home mailbox again, most of which is junk.

If anyone wants to try it, use 34453 as the promo code and you will get a free month of service. As will I - that is like a "referral" code. I don't care if you use it or not, but if you can get a free month why not?

Here's how it works:

You use this address as your billing & mailing address. You can forward mail to them via USPS mail change notice if desired - I did.

You can use their main address in Michigan, or they have additional addresses to pick from as well.

They automatically discard all obvious junk mail. In the time I have used them, I have not had one single piece of junk mail they accepted.

They scan the envelope so you can see it, and send you an email notification that you have new mail.

You can decide what to do with that mail - scan contents, shred the mail, or forward. You can scan the contents first, then shred or forward later as well.

Some services charge based on the number of pages scanned. This one gives you scans of entire pieces of mail, no page limit. So I send in a bunch of stuff I want to scan in one large envelope and then download it once they have scanned it. Old papers, etc - just so I don't have to do the work

Anything you shred, you have the ability to keep archived images of. There is no storage limit (I asked) for how many archived images you can keep.

When forwarding, you can choose what address to send to, it does not have to be one on file or the same one all the time.

Overall I give them a 9/10. There have been a couple quirks, but generally speaking it has been excellent.

- don't have to check the mail
- don't have to sort through junk mail
- notifications when you get a new piece of mail
- scans your mail. no more filing papers or scanning them yourself
- use them to scan other things by sending in an envelope of stuff you want scanned (papers, not pictures and stuff, although I guess that could work.)

And they will allow multiple names including business names on the box.

Work smarter, not harder.
