Default Civil unrest in Milwaukee and Baltimore explanation.

Looks like nbc found out why the locals are burning the cities to the ground and killing everybody.

Um, isn't that what caused the housing crisis? Lending to people without jobs or people that don't have any way to pay it back?

I thought dirty bankers caused it? I can't remember anymore, well at least we now know why they are killing and looting.

I made this thread earlier

CNN edited this video of the Milwaukee shooter's sister to make it look like she was calling for peace and they even say "his sister calling for peace"

They show only the clip when she says “Don't bring the violence here!”

"What she actually said was “Don't bring the violence here! Burnin down shit ain’t going to help nothin! Y’all burnin’ down shit we need in our community. Take that shit to the suburbs. Burn that shit down! We need our shit! We need our weaves. I don’t wear it. But we need it.”

Edited Video:

The actual statement:

"Areas with higher income (apples) get more lending, which makes sense, but what we didn't expect is that areas with higher percentage of African-Americans (oranges)you didn't have as much lending,"

What a fooked up statement they are literally comparing apples to oranges, comparing income and race

I would suggest that thes black that want a home loan do what George Jefferson did, get a job, start a business and start "MOVIN ON UP TO THE DEEE LUX APARTMENT IN THE SKY"

And that reporters feigned look of concern......probably knew full well what the full clip said too.

Is CNN still relevant?

Rachel Maddow and Chris Hayes (who I suspect is just Rachel's alter ego) have surpassed CNN's ratings.

exactly, here we go again. this begins to build the argument for obama to come up with an executive order for forced integration in "white" neighborhoods. he said he wants to do it.

Also from thearticle..

"Banks say they just look at the numbers.

On average, African-Americans have lower credit scores. Less than one quarter of blacks have scores in the prime range, while more than 65 percent of non-Hispanic whites do, according to a 2008 Federal Reserve study.

"The underwriting decisions in today's world are an automated system that's evaluating the applications," said Michael Fratantoni, an economist at the Mortgage Bankers Association, an industry trade group.
The only three things the computers care about are a buyer's debt-to-income ratio, credit history, and collateral, he said."

Makes sense to me...but who the hell am I to dispute the NBC financial expert...

You know, if those reparations would ever kick in, they might have some down payment money.....

I'm sure once the lenders move past the information based on income, credit history, employment history and whether the mortgage you are trying to qualify for can be paid, it's probably all race based.

"When banks decide they're not going to make home mortgages in certain communities, they're deciding it's going to be mainly rentals and it's going to have a deleterious effect," said NCRC president John Taylor. "It's a self-fulfilling prophecy on part of the banks. That's redlining"

They've done all this great analysis, dug into the hows of who gets loans and who doesn't. But what they didn't do is look at one simple premise"

Don't shit where you eat!

What investor in their right mind is going to put money into an investment that habitually self-destructs. Look at those statistics.

I'm not denying they aren't using every Alinski style tactic invented, but that article has nothing to do with why they're rioting

I'm most surprised by Sheriff David Clarke's response (or lack of) to these riots and looting.

From what I've seen of him on TV, I figured he'd roll in there himself with night stick swinging and gun ah blazing.
