Default The Band-"the Last Waltz"- 40th anniversary

The Band was one of my all time favorite rock bands. Hard to believe it's been 40 years since their last appearance. Some good musicians here-

I have the CD set and the DVD. Both are kick ass. Some incredible talent up on that stage.

thanks for the link. It does seem that, these days, all things "The Band" lead back to Levon.

I saw the band in 1973 at Watkins glen.( 600,000 people strong)
I loved Levon Helm as much then as the day he died.
He, like precious few others,was a force in American music that can't be replaced.

Well, I was there too, The Band was and still is one of my favorite bands of all time.

Looks like I missed out on a couple of incredible shows, especially the New York show! Buddy Miller is one of the greats in the industry! Just a fantastic talent.
