Default BlueTooth Speaker

Thanks again all.

It came down to the Bose Soundlink and UE Boom.

I went and played with both and liked both, was leaning toward the Bose ( I have other Bose ) but went with the UE Boom, only due to it being water resistant and most use would be on the boat ( camping Surf fishing etc..).

Picked one up at Costco for $119.00 on Saturday, ( $10.00 coupon in Aug)

Took it out crabbing on the skiff yesterday and love it.
Nice little unit.

Thx Again.

Looking for a smaller compact size,
10x4x4?

Want to use it mainly on the skiff for crabbing, we go out early Sunday Mornings and nothing is on the radio at that time.

Will upgrade the radio eventually ( Not Bluetooth or Ipod Compatible) but I think I can use this out by the firepit, camping , surfishing on the boat and other places.

Something rechargeable that will last for 4ish hours?

Mostly will be streaming Amazon Prime music from my Samsung S6.

Nuu wake is my personal favorite. A bit large but good sound.

Lots of other options in the $50 range but hard to hear over a motor. I could hear mine while running when it was on the console.

Check your stereo for an aux input. You can plug the cable in to your phone and do it the old school non Bluetooth way but still stream etc.

JBL Flip 3 - under $100 (refurb on amazon for $70) and sounds as good as the UE boom. Water resistant, 10 hour battery life, I love mine.

I have the UE Boom due to being waterproof, also have the Bose Soundlink, the Bose beats it in sound quality but isn't waterproof and the battery doesn't last as long. I'd get the UE for a boat that's subject to get wet.

We use a Bose Soundlink for literally everything.

Around the house
Camping
Outside grilling or having a fire
On the boat
And it serves as the stereo for the old Ford, who's radio sucks.

The thing is amazing...best sound output I've ever heard.

Love it.

If not the Bose get this one of the best under $100 BT speakers I have heard other than Bose Soundlink mini. It actually has some bass to it.

Best one out there, IMO. I bought 2, because you can link them together via BT. The sound, and battery life are amazing.

I had one of those PYLE speakers for a while and while durable, the sound quality is terrible compared to the slightly more expensive JBL, Bose, UE Booms etc.

I have a Jam Box.

it's a few years old. picked up up before a lot of the speakers on the market now were even out.

With that said it is compact, loud, clear. we use it all the time.

I've got this: https://www.amazon.com/Altec-LifeJac.../dp/B00JYQOXAO

FREEZEPROOF, SHOCKPROOF, WATERPROOF, DROPPROOF.

Altec LifeJacket 2. It'll get louder than I wanna listen to it in most cases, and clarity is still pretty damned good.

I used it on a river tubing trip last week. It comes with a "U-shaped" mount to clamp onto various things. I hooked it up to the tube handle. Most of the tubing trip was in the rain. It worked fine. It's also done 2 beach trips.

I'm impressed and would purchase another if needed.

Another vote for Bose. I use it on my skiff as well when I go crabbing or just cruising the creek. Also use it around the house and at the beach.

We use the UE megaboom. A little pricey but for a waterproof speaker the sound is fantastic. All of the other waterproof we tried sounded like they were muffled. We have a Bose at home we love but for the boat I like the idea of it being waterproof, just in case.
