It's not one off, but it's not guaranteed like you make it sound. You know what also was an amazing company to never sell? GE.

What looks attractive now? FUBO? GE, XOM? Who's been unfairly beaten down lately?

This mind set is what prevents you from seeing the big picture. Sure GE has been a disappointment. Does that mean you shouldn’t invest in it today?

My retirement account has $7 for every $1 I put in. What do you care about long term, the 7 fold increase that will probably be $14 for every $1 ten years from now despite the occasional GE or the future flops that will happen...

Why do you have to buy what has been beaten down?
Value line is your friend...

Maybe so, but current PE is sitting at 91 with a dividend of 1.35%.
Don't get me wrong, it's a great long term stock, but to see their earnings grow from $2.71/share grow 4-5X is probably already baked into the stock price.
Also, where did you see the 5% dividend?? Or did they increase it 5% above the current 1.35%?
Thanks!

Have you bothered to actually look at the EPS vs the printed 91 x’s you see on CNBC, etc?
And BDX raised the dividend 5% from 79¢/sh/Q to 83¢/sh/Q.

Nope. But I typically trust what I see on TI or TD. Guess I missed that news. Haven't looked at their actual quarterly/annual reports.
