Sorry guys... I'm trying to find in this thread where it was discussed some funds.. I believe it was Vanguard Funds...
I have some money parked doing nothing, but not looking to put it in individual stocks.

I may need it on short notice, and I'm sure that if I put it in a stock, I will need it right when is down.

I sold all the Alcoa at $14.50 and moved it all over to Trulieve TCNNF at $20.77. Surpassed $1 million in gains today on the Trulieve. So far, so good.

Ha ha. Here is the last month for Trulieve. Earnings is due 11-17-2020 and it should be spectacular. This is either a run up to earnings or to the election. What I like is that the institutional investors are largely out of this stock (I believe because marijuana is illegal on the USA Federal level and it's therefore non-marginable). Once the institutional investors come in, the price could soar.

All in.

We're at Las Olas Marina right now for the next month. Should be amazing to see the boats.

Here is a GoPro of the new boat. https://gopro.com/v/DbdKDZBWW8qrp

Thanks for the tip on this one, there are a couple of stores near me. I'm surprised you're in at $20.77 I got the tip from you and I'm for an avg of $19.40 although I don't have real money to put at it. Only carrying 500 shares. Thanks again!

And the stock is still performing with these regulatory road blocks. I have had a great experience with Schwab.

I'm a newbie with regard to stocks so my purchases and sales were not precision but based on the big picture. When I made a significant purchase in the Trulieve, it was on an upswing and it pushed my basis up. I'm glad you took the tip because that is a huge part of the fun.

This might be a stupid question but what if you buy the stock now at $88.xx/ share? Would you get bought out at $106 or too late to the party?

I doubt it will even open below a $100/sh. But in theory, no itís not too late. The deal, when announced, will take some time to close.. The caveats being the deal goes thru, higher bid, etc..

(Reuters) - Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin Robbins chains owner Dunkin' Brands Group Inc <DNKN.O> has held preliminary discussions to be acquired by Inspire Brands, a private equity-backed restaurant company, Dunkin' said in a statement on Sunday.

"There is no certainty that any agreement will be reached," said Karen Raskopf, Chief Communications Officer of Dunkiní Brands.

Dunkin' declined to reveal further details.

The deal being discussed would take Dunkin' Brands private at a price of $106.50 a share, said the New York Times which first reported the development.

Inspire Brands, the owner of Arby's and Jimmy John's, declined to comment when contacted by Reuters.

The announcement could be made public as soon as Monday, the New York Times said.

Inspire's portfolio includes more than 11,000 Arbyís, Buffalo Wild Wings, SONIC Drive-In, Rusty Taco, and Jimmy Johnís locations worldwide, according to the company's website.

Inspire Brands was formed in 2018 by private equity firm Roark Capital as a holding company after Arby's completed the acquisition of Buffalo Wild Wings.

Over $8 billion market cap at that price and if the chart is correct a PE of 34 at about a $90 close. For a place that sells coffee and flavored drinks. Wow.

not enough for this shareholder.... This is probably the 15th(?) company that has been bought out, where I owned stock or managed an account that held the stock..in most cases I wish the company remained a stand alone entity as I would have been far better off.

You've heard of the company Starbucks, right?

Thatís actually what I donít get (but admit I donít know DD business that well), Starbucks arenít franchised as far as I know where DD is. With DD it would seem that a good portion of the entrepreneurial profit would go to the individual location owners. I suppose itís all about expanding the franchise.
