Picked up a little bit of Chevron under $69 this morning. The 7.5% dividend at that price makes it seem like an OK long-term bet to take.

What trading platform are you guys using?

I've been using Power Etrade, but over the weekend I downloaded the desktop version of Thinkorswim and was checking it out. Just out of curiosity.

Fidelity, here but not overly impressed. I have my 401 and 529 account with them as well.

StreetSmartEdge from Schwab. Mainly because I am used to it. I hear ThinkOrSwim and Interactive Brokers are good. The latter especially for people more sophisticated than me.

I added to NEP, and sold ASAN and PLTR for a small loss. I don't like when stocks go down on a day like this and I think both of those will get there day in the sun at some point.

will buy some XPEV on a dip. If true, I like the 438 mile range and decent looking vehicle too. My NIO is up 20%.

Just downloaded it. Thanks. No complaints about Power Etrade what-so-ever. Just wanted to take a look at what else is available.

So on the tech front, there's a company that I've been a reseller for..for about 15 years . Called "Datto". They started out as a "best of the best of the best" backup..disaster recovery...biz continuity service for us MSP (managed service providers). Based out of Connecticut.
Basically it's a complex backup solution with a local appliance, if a server caught fire and melted down, I can log into the backup appliance and "virtually spin up" the most recent backup of the server (backs up hourly so latest backup is less than an hour old)...and connect that to the network and the client is up and running again. I can do all this remotely from the comfort of my couch within about 15 minutes. And I have done it for a client when I was out in the middle of Lake Winnipesaukee in a boat.

The company has gone on acquisitions...bought up a cloud managed network product (previously known as OpenCloud), and they merged with a big cloud drive, as well as RMM and ticketing system product called AutoTask. And bought up a cloud backup service (for 365 and Google) called BackupIfy.

They're going public soon, ticker will be "MSP".

Desktop version of ToS as well. It has a lot more bells and whistles than I'll ever need, but very versatile. TONS of videos out there on setting up different charts which is really helpful.

In addition, I can log into the standard TD web interface for a "quick and dirty" trade with it's simple interface.

I've been on ToS for several months. Their mobile app is pretty slick as well. I only use it for a day trading account and I'm typically in/out of a dozen or so trades per day/week - so it's very manageable.
The desktop version is powerful as well...

Good information, thanks.

Don't most large corporations already have remote back-up safety measures in place?
