Posted this in another thread, you guys would appreciate:

This is what I do for a living. This is an actual story of an experience I had with a client:

Last year: Client did about 26% on her account with a relatively balanced allocation. Pretty good considering she's 69 years old. She wanted max-risk on despite me reminding her she's almost 70. She's also typically been risk-on even during tougher times. Pull-back of late 2018, etc.

March: Wheels start falling off the wagon. She panics, which I had never seen before. Literally told me the world is ending, life is over as we know it. We re-allocated, stop the bleeding, and she was down about 18%. Very good considering the SP500 was down about 32% at that point.

A few days ago: We had re-allocated again and she was even for the year. Once again, VERY good considering that the NASDAQ was the only index with a solid gain and the SP500 just that day broke even, with the Dow down. She calls. "Hey can we do better here? My friend's account is up?" I said "Sure, lets go over this in detail on the phone. However, we're still NOT out of the woods yet. I'd like to keep us with a balanced allocation for now. We can shift things around though."

Today: Silence lol

Yup. Mind you, I am working with a set group of mutual funds. We advise on her 401k account. I literally have 10-15 decent funds to choose from.

So yeah, her friend's account may be up. For example, we have clients that are above their all time high using individual equities, etf's, and some super actively managed MF's.

What we do is more along the lines of a therapist at times.

Haven't seen it trade 1.99 since yesterday afternoon. My favorite stock of the week to short. Robinhooders bought it all the way up to the 3.60's this morning at 9am when they can trade.

Some of you may want to take a look at CHGCY. I own 20 shares now and it's up $8/share today. They are talking about a stock split in July.

I bought at about .95 and sold at $5 and 3.75 the first round.
Bought again at 2.85 and sold at 4.38

First sale got me a new boat lift.

Guy who gave this to me said he thought it would end up at $10. I may buy again if it goes back to the two's.
