Not a trader. At my age portfolio is an income generator of mostly blue chip income and dividend Kings and Aristrocrats that continue to increase dividends year after year no matter what. Still Dripping dividends because I'm still working (till end of year) and dividends haven't decline since crash even though face value was down as much as 25% at one time. Oil stocks and REITS were hardest hit along with surprisingly MO (Altria).

Technically, since DOW Industrials have not broken 24,600 to the upside we can probably expect another downturn probably in MAY when all the bankruptcies start. Could go down into 17,000's and if breaks that level of support even into 15,000's. Emotionally, that's going to be a bitch to handle if it happens. Hopefully none of my companies cut their dividends! That's my plan, collecting Soc. Sec., Divs and a couple small pension checks.

CHK (Chesapeake energy) just triggered some crazy price alerts I had set on my app, there was some discussion about it here earlier this year...

Went in to check it and it was 18x the last price/share I had seen

Thought I missed out on something HUGE...nope...200/1 reverse split

Short it or buy puts, no way it doesn't go down

Yep...99% of the time ,reverse splits are the kiss of death....only done to maintain a listing on some type of exchange. Whenever a reverse split is announced, the first out is the best out.

Any thoughts on CHWY? I did not know they were listed... it is a company that I use a lot and have noticed their boxes being delivered in my neighbourhood more often...
It is really very convenient service, and I assume that a lot of people will try it due to the virus, and then keep it.

I don't know about CHWY but I do see a lot their boxes when I ride my bike around the 'hood. I do know pets have a lot spent on them even in bad times.

I have been seeing lots of reports of animal shelters being cleaned out (adoptions) in many areas. I am guessing that is one of a few reasons for the nice uptick in the last month.

Actually makes perfect sense, people love their pets, people forced to stay home, people get pet food delivered to house.

That is my thought... also... it is not like you are going to stop feeding your pets in bad times.
At least in my case, having it delivered to my door by them is usually equal or a little bit cheaper than dragging my ass to the store...

It looks like the virus will change some things dramatically in the future... In my business field, most professionals were loudly against teletherapy until they were forced to use it now (or go out of business).
Now they can't stop preying the benefits and telling anybody that wants to hear how they are going to continue using it even when everything goes back to normal....

I wonder if it would be the same for pet supply deliveries..

extremely expensive, not sure how momentum stocks are going to do going forward but it's at an all time high and up 15-20% during this covid period. I know my daughter uses them and I think we do for a prescription food for one of our dogs.

My recent purchases PSX. SYF WRK are getting killed today.
Not touching CHWY. In tough times expensive pet food is a luxury IMO.

Thinking about taking a small position in retail, like TJX. Any other suggestions?

I see where VET suspended their dividend. No surprise really. No choice but to hang on to it at this point.

Did 105% on ABT calls today.
Holding one through earnings for tomorrow morning.
Ba has been kicking my ass all week, I’ve been on the wrong side of trading them way to much lately.

Added to IRM today. Added to FCX and VGT the other day. Also sold off a bunch of very small positions. Just trying to clean things up a little.

Bought a little IVES. Not a recommendation. Thinly traded 5G play in international mid tier providers.
