Default Sell Me on Moving to a Foreign Country

Got my eye on Peru.
Would like to know the ins and outs if any of you have expat experience.
I realize it will be a big adjustment doing without some of the first world comforts we have here in the US.

Thanks!

why Peru? You may get better advise by googling something like "Moving to Peru". Although I thought we had a Peruvian member at one time here?

https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopi...here-Peru.html

another interesting site- http://www.southamericaliving.com/

I'd probably opt for Ecuador. You can get a fully furnished apt. for $400/mo. Dining out appears so cheap as to why bother fixing your own meals?

Have you visited Peru? If so, what is the duration of your longest visit?

Pasando a Perú ? Yo entiendo que las oportunidades de detección de metales son muy limitados . La gente es pobre y no descuidados con sus objetos de valor en la playa . Además, su papel higiénico, si lo puede conseguir , es muy, muy áspera en topes gringos .

On the off chance this was a serious OP... Why Peru? Been to most every country in Latin America many times and Peru wouldn't make my top five as a place to live.

Expat life in general? A great experience - If you have the cash or the income that will come with you.
